Senior Lab Executive / QA Streamlining Lead – Masterbatches & Compounds

Openings: 2 | Location: Gummidipoondi, Chennai plant (with deputation to other units) | Reports to: Quality Manager (QA / QMS / QC)
About the role:
Lead advanced laboratory testing, standardise testing across units and keep the lab audit-ready to ISO 9001.
Key responsibilities:
Harmonise testing SOPs across units in line with Head Office and ISO procedures.
Enforce raw material quality gates and set up in-process checkpoints.
Perform physical, chemical, thermal and colour evaluations (Muffle Furnace, Carbon Content Tester, MFI, FPV).
Co-host ISO 9001, customer and supplier audits; maintain calibration logs and COAs.
Train unit lab technicians and lead non-conformance control (5-Why, 8D, CAPA).
What you need:
Diploma / B.Sc. in Polymer Science, Plastic Technology, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
3–4 years of hands-on lab, QA/QC and audit experience in masterbatch or compounding manufacturing.
Shade matching, dispersion evaluation and lab calculations (LDR, bulk density).
Preferred: ISO 9001 internal auditor training, CIELAB / spectrophotometry, black / filler masterbatch testing.
